I do like that photo of the tunnel entrance, but every tunnel entrance around SF (if not the world) has an arch to match the painting's door. Since 2004 we also have external hints for "sounds from the sky" and wooden posts, and i'm too old now to be digging up the countryside and climbing stairs. I'm following the threads and waiting for the day when someone finds the SF casque, either thru determination or stumbling upon it. Either way, I hope to still be mobile enough to join the locals for a celebration.

p.s. about the final dig spot and image confirmers, I'm only certain that the daughters said one could see all of the details in the painting from the New York location; we shouldn't extrapolate a solid rule for the rest.

Well said catherwood. I’m liking Sutro Heights as well.

Ouch! Now I feel like I got kicked in the pearls. ;D

Not saying that 16 years of debate was a waste of effort, just saying that aquatic park area withheld the test of time as to still being viable and not disproven as the location. Take the Boston one after the same amount of time the leading theory of the Back Bay area couldn't have been more off the mark. I have no idea how many hours I spent trying to figure out how we were supposed to get from the Museum in the North End to the Back Bay area; as it turns out we weren't supposed to leave the North End at all.

Preiss himself said that he thought they were easy and all would be found in a short amount of time. This makes me think the most obvious solution is the correction one.

I agree that any tunnel entrance will likely look like the one in the image, but I also didn't mention that. But I do want to point out that the jewel is the Pearl. The moons could be a reflection of that. That this painting is very vertical, visually speaking. And at the top of the mountain in the image is the largest moon. This possibly suggests the jewel/pearl is physically above said stonewall's door.

As for the Sounds from the sky and high posts are three Japanese explanations. The Aquatic cove area still fits the clues just fine. (wooden posts, radio signal)

As for the Pleat of the dress being GGP, it is the rectangular shape for sure, but the iconic winding section of Lombardi street is a way better fit for the rectangular pleat plus its winding dragon.

I also agree with 'it was the daughters that said that you can see all the clues from the spot'. Were they in the know about the NY casque or speaking about all of them in general, or just speaking to what they think they knew? IDK but the Cleveland and Boston casques seemed to pretty much work that way but not Chicago, and doesn't seem that the Milwaukee or Roanoke ones work that way either. So I feel the San Fran one could go either way.

I don't know where the casque is or isn't, but this area still has a lot going for it. I too hope to see the San Francisco casque as well as the others found even if it isn't me.

I think with most of these locations, the at home hunter isn't going to be able to exactly pin point it down. It takes actual boots on the ground.

The one thing I don't like about the Fort Mason/Aquatic Park is the match for the brick work of the dragon's scale. If anyone that lives in the area has an insights, can you post?

So I posted a map with yellow circle around the western spkr with arrow to yin yang symbol. You must've missed the wall with granite pier blocks and acorn finials on top.

Is this the set of stairs you were suggesting? They go exactly to the spot above the train entrance.

Is that a walking path of Fort Mason?

I think he's talking about these step looking design on top of the tunnel with the fence that looks like the fence in the window on the cliff. https://tinyurl.com/y6own2st
I suggested that area to Goonie a while back. I don't know if he checked it out or not.
You can get there from the cannon position up the hill she's pointing at! https://tinyurl.com/y6h5vlez

If you zoom out a bit of the link I posted it does look like there is a path on Van Ness at Black point that leads up the hill to Fort Mason area and those stairs.

I have been trying to contact Matt (Malted) to give me some insights on the area, as he is the only one I know of in the SF area. Same as here on the Q4T board the Facebook seems like his last post was nearly a month ago from what I have seen so far. Hope he didn't get the COVID or something.

That area is by the fire station and is completely closed up. https://tinyurl.com/y2w24y25

Google Earth shows a set of stairs at the top (not dirt :bang) ) so unless it's by that tree. IDK

Possibly right above (at stonewalls door). Giant step over the walking path? But the tree roots would be a problem, so maybe not.

Yes, and…

Yes.
What do you mean it's not there? It has to be there... Unless it is somewhere else.

On one of my visits to the area in 2018 (I think this is on Q4T somewhere). My Nephew and I volunteered to help clear invasive plant species from the area on the terraced gardens above the tunnel so we had special permission to enter the area. I took a lot of picture and video of the areas in question. Heres a shared link to all those pics/vids from that particular trip https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... sp=sharing

Also, here is what I put together in 2018 as an attempted "Theory". I have a ton of material for this area, so much of the "Verse" works well in this area https://drive.google.com/file/d/1keaTv4 ... sp=sharing , but during the 10 or more visits to the area I could never figure out the final spot (nothing jumped out as being the area. I've tried working the 421/Ren theory into this spot. I've got as far as Alcatraz and at 6 O'clock you have the aquatic park). But happy to work with you and Choice for continuing the search.

Great research bbi. I read your pdf a while back and one thing about the Fisherman's Wharf map that popped out at me is the placement of the yin yang. You like the cove pier + cable car turn table. The yin yang spot is where western speaker is at. Yin and yang working together, left and right, east and west.
Also the woman is the image may be a siren that would fit nicely OR angel for the island.
She's pointing to 4th pier block on her sleeve with her dark finger that may be black point pier 4 reference AND for double meaning the 4th granite pier block with finial.
Alternatively her other hand pointing to between 5th and 4th blocks. Interestingly her hand/fingers is outline of a pear. Pier?

anti-imperialists in America; Funston's statements caused President Teddy Roosevelt to write in an April 1902 letter to the Secretary of War, "I think that General Funston will have to be requested not to make any more public speeches…he expresses himself at times in a way that is very unfortunate." Funston also attracted the attention of Mark Twain, an opponent of imperialism, who wrote a scathingly sarcastic essay entitled "In Defense of General Funston" in 1902.
