I have’t figured out the whole path, but I’m personally liking my St Francis quote theory for darkness, teardrop (posted quote last night on the SA page). So I’m chasing it down.

There are several tie-ins to St Francis in St Augustine but my fav is this little park, appropriately named St Francis. There is a large tree, a well, a fountain, a statue of St Francis, holding two birds, and a plaque with mention of darkness and sadness (see first Waymarking image).

The park was established in 1976.

My path thus far includes the FOY as a starting point, Magnolia, the Senator, “silver” being the Colonial Quarter”, “stars by day” being the Military Barracks on Marine & St Francis, “ships by night” water view from Marine St., to St Francis Park.

It’s a work in progress but I hope somebody can check it out before next week’s meetup. I’ll keep fine tuning it. I can’t find good pictures of the birds being held due to the weathered nature of the statue.

This will be my last post here at Q4T. I am moving on. AFTER immeasurable time reviewing all the evidence...i now am certain I have found the FOY casque.
IF you accept the BOAT tree trail which I do...I have also found the word DRAKE in puzzle. Subsequently it is a GOOD thing the BOAT is an English/Drake boat with the anchor and picture at the FOY. I believe this IS THE BOAT TREE..where the casque is buried. Probably beneath the Palm tree right next to it. Remember one of BP's last clues he was walking at might past the umbrella kids fountain on his way out. He always buried in places that would not disturb anything. The stone irregular circle around the five foot area is also in the painting. I hope someone gets permission and gigs up the FOY exactly where I said it would be. here is a good pic. Good luck.
