I've become rather reliant on finding the latitude/longitude numbers in the image to use as confirmers.  With this image, I have not seen anything that is convincingly a deliberately inserted number.  As a skeptic, I believe you can turn almost any random brushstroke into a number if you are looking for something specific.  Ideally, you see a number jump out and THEN find out what city might correspond to it.

(just posting to keep in touch, not contributing anything new this week.)

Your pittsburg links are as strong as any I have read/seen for NY. just remember there is no way of confirming til you actually find a casque...

To first disagree with Cat (gosh, is this a first lol  ;) ) I think the #74 is quite obvious in the waves.  Now....

The face is of course that of Lady Liberty but your Liberty Bridge find is quite intriguing.  That darn eagle though.  It seems to be a perfect match for the Chrysler gargoyle... unless, is there something "Chrysler" nearby in Pitt?

I have always believed V10 to be leading us to Pitt, especially with the Isle of B = Brunot Island.  My only problem was I had it matched w/ P4 since the beginning....low and behold, Sir Egg had to go and ruin that one for me .  But, P4 brings us right back to your points....From early on, I think I would be correct in assuming, everyone here was convinced that P4 was PA (gem in Keystone-state), most leaning towards Philly because of the Lbell (liberty bell) & myself secretly leaning towards Pitt w/ V10.  Now that someone else has found themselves in Pitt with this V, maybe we should do a little more digging and find a P (if not P12..but also could be now) for this casque.  

Keep the ideas flowing Melanie...no idea is a dumb one (except for some of mine lol )

Is it just me, or does the panes of glass behind the bird (minus the tail feathers) look kinda like the State of Idaho.
The building outline just below that looks russian in origin and there is a city in Northern Idaho named Moscow (no foolin)
It is right next to the Clearwater Mountains (pretty water below), and slightly north is a city called Spirit Lake (a floating woman)

Just noticed a 15 in the wave if that helps anybody.


look about dead center in the white froth of the wave
you will first see 4 verticle dots of water. (white)
Thats the 1
Then look to the right just a bit and you will see six dots arranged in a 5 shape.

once you spot it its pretty obvious.
I think more obvious than the 74

So what does 74 and 15 get you?

NYC is 74 & 41(or 40)

The 50 on the bird is as plain as day.

The 74 is a bit iffy.
as it could be 14 74 or 141 or 741...

Theres also a 3 in the bloom of the flower.

and although the birds are both hawklike - the beaks don't look anything alike. The one in picture 12 is almost a parrots beak.

I thought the ends of both hands ended in circles.
The minute hand is just harder to see.

I wonder though how much of the really really difficult to see objects we should consider - BP couldn't be sure with print quality changes - if stuff like that would be visible in every book. most of the stuff we know about in the solved puzzles was obvious - not barely visible.
