Pine tree, image 12 says NYC as loud as it can. (I think Jersey) You have 1 WTC, you have Ellis Island, and The Statue Of Liberty face.  You have Eagles all over the place.  I'm looking at Vancouver. What does it have ?  It doesn't have a rectangular building that looks like a Twin Tower?  Red herring?  Can't be.  That # 74 is real.    This should have been found way before Chicago i!(yeah, right)  Really, what's in image12 that would point towards Vancouver?  I've seen arches every where.  Surfers, domes, eagles, waves, but nothing Canadian. What image suggests Canada? Beats me.

Boogieman, take a look at the link above, and follow the instructions which I included below it.  I think that the Church in Vancouver is an exact match with the one in Image 12.  Also, the bird on the Harding monument appears to be the one in Image 12.

I see what your saying Egg, it's just not enough for me right now.  Take a look at this right by the Battery NY:

These kind of images are all over the continent.  I think we need more to go to Vancouver.

John Wolfe Ambrose-

"Once the work on the promenade is finished, you will be able to see the reinstalled memorial to John Wolfe Ambrose by Andrew O'Connor (1899). Ambrose was an Irish engineer who came to New York as a young man in the 1850’s and proceeded to change it dramatically with his work widening the channels in the harbor, developing the docks, and building elevated railroads. This little-known turn of the century monument is a small gem honoring an unsung engineer, the kind of thing we’d never even think to do today. "

Image

take a look at what is depicted at the base of the memorial... hmmmm

While I do think this is a NY image,
I must use the other finds as an example to
point out perspective.

The larger the image, the closer to the
hole.

The Chicago photo a perfect example.
A large building in reality, but perspectively
smaller here due to its distance from Grant Park.

Also, Cleveland, the upside skyscraper is not
prominently displayed because it is only seen
from the distance from MLK.

Here, the promint points in the photo are
in order... The girl
              The Ocean
              The bird in flught

Everything smaller can be taken as a
skyline reference.

So, what bothers me... the colors.

Also, I believe the girl, to follow the Greek
theme of the other photos, can be Themis
(also known as Dietas, Justia, Lustia)

This is the symbol for 'Blind Justice'.  Most courts and
law symbols have a deravation of this theme.
As well as the Eagle, a legal theme.

Lady Liberty is in the mode of Themis, but with
specifically a different pose. And  different arms.

The original image of Themis was not a blindfolded woman,
unnecessary because she had second sight.

Its this prominence in the image that begs for exactness.

The Church in the background may be a characticature
of the orginal, but not the Lady of the Water.

Same thing with the bird.  A sitting bird is not the bird in
flight.  Think post office symbol.

And the other thing which make this hunt tough still
today, is that the larger the image you need to find,
the closer you are to the actual location, IN REALITY,
probably the less significant a symbol to the whole
location.

Its like Alice in Wonderland.... What's big is small
and what's small is big.

Oh... and a hi to all.

Howdy Trohn,

This one's the Russian image.  Not Greek.  There's one for each set of immigrants.  If you peruse the "What Has Been Found" thread, you'll find several tables proposing the relationships.  Some are fairly certain, and some are quite disagreed-upon.

But the prominence of the lady,
to the site -

Liberty wasn't Russian either.

But I did read the immigrant connections.
Thanks for reminding.

For what it is worth, some random thoughts
of Stratford Connecticutt:

Home of Igor Sikorsky (A wingless bird ascended, born of ancient
dreams of flight)

Established mid 17th century by Russian imigrants

Has a domed Russian Othrodox Church (photo attached)

Has a lighthouse

Has many many parks and historical monuments

Is spack dab on the coast

Has a church named: St Mary's of the Sea

Has a Barnum Museum (with a eagle like bird on its roof)

Just a place with many possibiliites

What if she is a "Maid of the mist"

That would put us at Niagara Falls, right? Now I'm not from the US so I may have this wrong but isn't Niagara Falls in New York State?

More of my brainstorming for ya!

A Cake is not made with flour alone.

Niagra Falls is between NY and Canada.

I have found various examples in this image,
but no location with everything in proper
perspective.

With the black hair of the woman, I am not
looking fr her to be a statue but a painting.
She looks like a color-form stuck atop the rest
of the image.  Also, with the blue light behind her,
I am thinking she is a part of a larger whole.

I have not found any logs or lats in here to key off of.

The bird looks to me like a relief of a building or a monument.

Also, with the web feet, I see him as a sea eagle or an osprey -
commonly named a SeaHawk.

Other notables.... Red Cobble Stones.... Aqua Sea Glass....
White Sands....

Nice work on the Milwaulkee hunt.  Brilliant!  Just a reminder that the 3rd (or fourth) casque will be found in NY very soon.  The Peter Minuit Plaza is the key.  The place where they commemorate the purchase of  Manhattan from the Indians is right across the street from St. Elizabeth Bayley Shrine;

Schroll down to the pic of the shrine.  Something we've all seen before.....
http://www.bridgeandtunnelclub.com/bigm ... buildings/

Looks like State Street through Battery Place was the original shore line of Manhattan before they filled in the Battery, with the shrine and the Plaza right there.

in reference to the shrine, I'm not exactly sure what you are talking about that we have all seen.  the statue of the lady?  Would love to see a close up of her before making up my mind.  there are similar statues of ladies all across the us of a.

I think boogie's point is that this lady's statue is right there, adjacent to Battery Park. I too would like a close-up. Can you go there and take a few zoomed-in pics, boogie?

I don't want to slow the momentum on Milwaulkee.  Stercox is driving this home.  Let me just say, Battery Park is it.  Wilhouse suggested an outlying area.  Peter Minuit Plaza is actually concidered part of the battery, but just outside the park.  If it is indeed Battery Park, I would have certainly included the St Elizabeth Ann Bayley Seton Shrine in my clues if the casque were buried right across the street.  I will get a close-up.  I was staring at it the last time I was there, but was hooked on The Walloon Memorial at the time. BTW, Peter Minuit was also a WalloonBorn of ancient dreams of flight?  Walloon-Balloon-geez, that's a reach.... I hope it's still there.

Keep in mind that in all of the other solves,
all aspects of the image fit into a nice synopsis
of the site - of course, it depends on perspective
in size and perspective in mindset.

Image 12 overall indicates a window and the upper
portion indicates a stained glass window.  Note the water
drops beading below the floating woman (with gem)

The woman is a religious icon, but as she is floating, she is
in the position of being assumed both in body and spirit.
Catholics believe that this only relates to Jesus and the Virgin Mary.
I have not been able to find a matching image of the Virgin Mary
in this manner without head covering.  The stained glass in the
Holy Resurrection of Vancouver has one similar but not close enough.

The bird is not an eagle.  The feet are webbed.  I believe that this is
more closely related to a Sea Hawk (also known as a sea eagle or an osprey)
Note the brown on the wings and underbelly.

An important item which I have looked into are the Sea Pebbles, Cobblestones,
Ocean Glass.  (These do not look like beads to me.)
This is individualized in three seperate window panes.

I do concurr that in the water is '74' for the lats.

FWIW....

I am attempting to link the Pandora image with Vancouver Island.
